Jamon in Espana

We got our first taste of Spain as we descended upon Madrid in late August 2010. August in Madrid is considered low season which meant less crowds to deal with and more food for us! We had read horror stories about how hot Madrid in August can be, but there was nothing to worry about. Besides the best part about Madrid is their delicious agua del grifo, making it easy to stay hydrated during your time in Madrid! Ham is Spain's most important culinary commodity. In Madrid, we recommend the "Museo del Jamon", or the Museum of Ham as a way to start your Jamon Immersion.
